Tournament DETAILS 

            The Greater Fort Walton Beach Chamber of Commerce is pleased to announce that it will host a new event in Spring 2018. This inaugural event is presented by ZT Motors, in partnership with the Fort Walton Beach Chamber of Commerce and Destin Commons.
 
            The tournament will include double elimination tournament play for men and women’s teams with brackets for 11-14, 15-17, and 18-34 and 35+ age groups. In addition to the tournament play there will be a three-point shootout competition and a slam dunk exhibition. The winner of the 3
 
            The Emerald Coast Kings of the Court charity basketball tournament will be held on March 10th, from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m., on the streets of the Destin Commons. Team check-in and shootout registration will begin at 9am in the center court of the Commons just West of Sephora. The registration fee for each 3-5 player team is $100 per team. Registration for the three-point shootout is $25. All players will receive an event shirt and and event string-backback loaded with goodies. Winning teams in each bracket will receive a trophy and individual medals. The winner of the three-point shootout will receive a cash prize and trophy. The winner of the Slam Dunk exibition will take home a trophy. All participating teams must register prior to the tournament by visiting www.ECKingsoftheCourt.com. Shootout and slam dunk demonstration participants will register the day of the event. Teams must register and compete in the bracket appropriate for the oldest participating member of the team.             Proceeds of this event will benefit two non-profit organizations: One Hopeful Place and Impact Emerald Coast. One Hopeful Place (www.onehopefulplace.org), a homeless shelter in Fort Walton Beach operated by Community Solutions, strives to be the final solution for ending homelessness in Okaloosa County. Impact Emerald Coast (www.facebook.com/impactemeraldcoast) is a youth mentorship organization educating the youth of Okaloosa County about the importance of community engagement and advocacy.
 
            This event is free for spectators and will feature opportunities to support the event and its benefiting organizations by entering a drawing for many exciting prizes and giveaways including a brand new Bote HD Paddleboard Package.
